This autumn, KDC invites you to audition for two shows: Chatroom written by Enda Walsh, and Shakespeare’s Henry IV.

It is that time of year again: Auditions! This autumn season we will be staging Henry IV, adapted by director Nick Mouton, and Chatroom, written by Enda Walsh.
Auditions are free and open to all. Please pick one of the dates and read the audition notices to prepare. Don’t forget to fill out the audition form before you audition!

This summer KDC invites you to audition for You, Me, and Noor, KDC Theatre’s annual new writing competition and show.
Each year we set a brand new brief, and invite writers to submit new short plays. The winning entries are honed into a one-of-a-kind intertwined production, with a group of actors, directors and writers collaborating to bring the theme to life. This year we’re excited to present our re-vamped version of our Full Stack production.

Massive congratulations to the Pomona team for their run last week, and getting their corona-delayed production finally in front of live audiences. A big achievement all round.
But the wheel doesn’t stop turning here at KDC towers! It’s time to announce our autumn season shows, and your chance to get involved either by auditioning to act or backstage.
Autumn Season shows
First up, we have action-packed blood-soaked Shakespeare in Titus Andronicus. It’ll be a modern adaptation, exploring the dangers of revenge and how it can twist the intentions of everyone it touches.
Our second show will be Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons, about censorship and free speech in a world where people are limited to 140 words per day.
Auditions are free and open to all, and will be held 20 & 21 September in the evening. You only need to come to one audition and you can audition for both plays on the same evening.
Recalls take place on the evening of 23 September.

All the dates and registration links are below. If you’ve got any questions, come along to the interactive Season Launch and put this season’s directors on the hot seat. We’ll be sharing a bit more about our concept season and you’ll get a taste of what being involved in the season will be like. (Yes that means games as well as chat – so put a nice shirt on, grab a drink and be ready!)
