With our Spring Season kicking off and our Full Stack show planned for the Summer, it’s time to set our eyes to the Autumn and beyond!
Pitches are now open for our future seasons – Autumn 2023 (September-November), Spring 2024 (January-March), and potentially after that as well. Each season has 2 slots of 5 days each, in one of the London theatres we work with.
There is no set theme to follow, we just really want to see your passion for your chosen project come through in your pitch. All the details about what we’re looking for, what support you’ll get from KDC Theatre, and how to submit your pitch can be found on our Directing with KDC page.
For one of the seasons, we are looking into theatres with a slightly larger stage and audience capacity, which will require larger shows – and more bums in seats than usual! If you think you have a great idea that will offer plenty of roles for our actors and will attract bigger audiences, please let us know. We’re keen to discuss options.
Whether you’ve directed for KDC before or would finally like to give it a go, we can’t wait to see what you’ve got up your sleeves!
Pitches close on 14 April 2023 but the sooner you submit, the sooner we can start talking! Visit our Directing with KDC page for all the details and to submit your pitch.
The Full Stack project is KDC Theatre’s new writing competition and anthology show.
Each year we set a new theme and brief, and invite writers to submit new short plays. The winning scripts will make up our Full Stack summer show; an anthology production of 6-8 short plays, staged at one of the London venues KDC Theatre work with.
The summer show takes place in June/July and runs for 5 nights.
And our new brief and the submission window is now open! Please read the brief carefully and get writing – we will announce winners after the submission window closes.
The holiday period isn’t just an exciting time because of mince pies and fireworks, but also because it’s the start to the auditions of KDC Theatre’s spring season!
This spring season we will be staging Slither by Carson Kreitzer, directed by Sarah Beebe, and The Bus by Stanislav Stratiev, directed by Stephen Reimer. If you were at our Christmas Quiz, you were one of the lucky ones to get a very brief sneak peak but fear not – the rest of you now get access to the audition notices too!
