Night Night, Sleep Tight

A new season of New Writing Round Table Readings…

Dates: 30 September & 7 October
Time: 7pm
Venue: The Hoop and Grapes, 80 Farringdon Street, London EC4A 4BL

Following on from last year’s “What the Dickens?”, we’ve given twelve talented writers one spooky fairy tale each, and told them to turn it into a short play, with an edgy urban setting. Including everything from creepy nightclub bouncers to rogue RSPCA officers, these tales will amuse and scare you in equal measure.

Round Table Readings are free to attend. If you are comfortable reading cold and are interested in performing, please contact artistic@kdctheatre.com. Or listen if you prefer. Constructive feedback is encouraged.

Winter season consists of The Last Days of Judas Iscariot and Well Dressed, both on at Barons Court Theatre. Visit the auditions notices for more details about the shows.

KDC Annual General Meeting 2014

Our AGM is the chance for you to find out our plans for the next year, see what state the bank account is in, and of course elect the new committee.  Plus this year we have a very exciting announcement to make about the future of KDC.

KDC relies on its members to keep it running so if you fancy being on the committee we’d love to hear from you. The following positions are currently vacant so send chair@kdctheatre.com an e-mail if you’d like to find out more about what they entail:

Secretary
Publicity Officer
Co-Tech Director
Lock Up Co-Ordinator

Of course it wouldn’t be an AGM without a few drinks and an excuse for another social. So if you missed the picnic, catch up with old friends and new.

Quintessentially Christmas Quiz – 12 December

Christmas-quiz-photoWith the Winter Season out of the way, there’s just time to slot in the Christmas Quiz, at the Hoop & Grapes, Farringdon Street, from 7.30pm on Thursday 12 December.  Click here for the Facebook event.

Haters of trivia will adore the KDC Christmas quiz, we promise you you can lose all your brain cells to mulled wine and still have a shot at glory.

Can you eat more mince pies than Santa? Sing more festive tunes than Elton John? Make home-made Christmas gifts better than a class of candy cane hyped 5 year olds?

Yes? Then get down to the Hoop and get involved in the merriment. The rules:

1. Teams need a minimum of 3 people and a max of 6 – if you don’t have one we’ll find you one!
2. Don’t cheat or we’ll egg you.
3. The judges decision is final no matter how drunk they appear.
