Normally KDC puts on 6 plays a year in 3 seasons - Spring, Summer and Winter. Every season we advertise in The Stage and Time Out and else where for new performers and every season we see these new faces getting cast.

Acting for KDC is open to anyone, irrespective of age and experience. Some of our members have had a formal dramatic training while others may never have been on stage before appearing with us. Most often our members have acted at school or university before comming to London, starting work and finding that they aren't performing any more and want to do something about it. That's where we can help.

Before each season we hold a 'Newcomers Meeting'. Here we explain more about how KDC works and the directors talk about the plays they have chosen. You can find out when the next Newcomers meeting is, along with details of our next shows and audition dates, on our front page.

AUDITIONS
Auditions take place on the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings after the Newcomers meeting. For specific dates, time and location see our front page. Directors will normally outline the content of their auditions at the Newcomers meeting, but typically we do not require audition pieces.
[ MAP].

Callbacks are held on the Saturday at the end of the audition week . The director will notify you if you are required for a callback, but if they loved you first time round that may not be necessary.

REHEARSALS
We have 3 rehearsal slots per week but obviously you may not be called for every night. On Mondays and Wednesdays we rehearse at the Diorama Centre from 7-9:30pm. Then on Sunday we reherse at the Hoop & Toy pub in South Kensington. We have 2 slots there, from 12 till 4 or from 4 till 8.

PERFORMANCES
There are 6 performances for each play from Tuesday to Saturday night plus a matinee on Saturday afternoon.
